HISTORY OF UNSELDS' SCHOOL

UNSELDS' SCHOOL was founded by Wes and Connie Unseld in 1978. Originally the school was a Day Care Center. In 1983, the school received State Accreditation and became a private, independent state-approved school. Unselds' Developmental Center for children was opened in 1991 for infants and toddlers. In 1996, a Middle School was started with a new grade added each year until grade eight. Today Unselds' School has students ranging from age nine months to fourteen years old. The school is accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education and has been acclaimed as a "School of Excellence" in the United States.
